Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Learning English Idioms is made by Kris Ramonda. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.
The app has no accounts
There is no sign-up, no sign-in, and no password. You are never asked for your name, your email address, or any other personal detail.
Your learning progress stays on your device
The app saves your progress so it can pick up where you left off. That includes which idioms you have studied and bookmarked, your spaced-review schedule, any idioms you removed from review, which chapters you have expanded, and whether you have seen the welcome tour.
All of this is stored locally on your device using the operating system's own storage. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.
Purchases
The first three chapters are free. Unlocking the rest is a single purchase handled entirely by Apple. I never see your payment details.
To confirm your purchase and to restore it if you reinstall the app, the app uses RevenueCat, a third-party service that validates App Store receipts. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives the transaction details and an anonymous identifier that its software generates for your installation.
That identifier is not connected to your name, your email address, or your Apple ID, because the app never asks for them and never has them. RevenueCat handles this data as described in their privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
No advertising and no tracking
The app contains no advertising. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and it does not use an advertising identifier. Apart from the purchase handling described above, the app makes no network requests at all.
Links that leave the app
The About screen links to my website and to a research paper. Tapping either opens your browser and leaves the app. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which I do not control.

Children
The app is rated 13+ and is written for upper-intermediate and advanced learners of English. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, beyond what is described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
